In this episode of "Welcome to the Yarn Barn," host and founder of ADN, Liam Sorrell, discusses the importance of connecting with the emotional centre of our existence. He cites research showing that 1 in 4 people experience a mental health disorder in their lifetime, and explains that by neglecting the emotional centre of our brain, we are missing out on a crucial aspect of our mental and emotional wellbeing. Liam explains that mindfulness is one technique that has been shown to be effective in connecting with our emotional centre. He leads listeners through a mindfulness exercise, encouraging them to become more aware of their thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations without judgment. By practicing mindfulness regularly, Liam suggests, we can become more in tune with our emotions and learn to regulate them, ultimately improving our mental health and wellbeing.
